When Imprest Funds may be Used
Imprest funds may be used to purchase supplies and
services only when the requirement cannot be satisfied
by the supporting shore activity within the required time
frame and:
1. The transaction involves one delivery and one
payment not in excess of $150. In emergency
situations this limitation may be increased to
$300. However, prior to purchase, written
approval by the commanding officer for all
emergency transactions in excess of $150 must
