Cissel-type dryer. In figure 5-24 the door of the
tumbler dryer is open and part of the perforated
basket can be seen inside, while a laundryman
loads the tumbler dryer. Each drying tumbler has
an exhaust fan enclosed in the bottom of the
machine. This fan exhausts air from the tumbler
enclosure, and outside air then rushes through
the open sides of the heat coil box, where it is
heated by the steam coils. The air then enters the
basket through the perforations and dries the
clothes. The exhaust fan removes the air from the
basket and forces it out through an exhaust duct.
CONTROLS AND INDICATORS

indicators on the tumbler dryer. Most of these
