ORDERING TRAINING MATERIALS
The most common training courses that ESOs
must order are the courses that are mandatory for
advancement in rate. These TRAMANs and
NRTCs are listed in the Catalog of Nonresident
Training Courses, NAVEDTRA 12061. The
catalog will be available ONLY in an electronic
format. The Naval Education and Training
Professional Development and Technology Center
(NETPDTC) in Pensacola, Florida, publishes a new
edition of this catalog each year, with an update
(supplement) or new edition published during the
year. The catalog contains a wealth of information
that will help you maintain the courses needed to

The catalog is divided into 10 parts. Each part
contains courses that are developed for a specific
audience. Each part contains specific ordering
instructions for the courses listed in that part. Part 10 is
a special section that identifies courses that are
mandatory for advancement-in- rate.
Parts 1 through 10:
Part 1: General courses applicable to most
Sailors, including most mandatory courses. In
addition to specific ordering instructions, Part 1
also contains information about exceeding
per-order quantity restrictions, answer keys,
