Refer to BUPERSINST 7040.6 when you need
to obtain PCS accounting data. If you have
difficulty determining the accounting data, ask
your supervisor for assistance. If you and your
supervisor are unable to determine the correct
accounting data, contact the order issuing
authority. If you are ashore, use the telephone; if
you are on a ship, send a message.
There may also be times when Temporary
Duty Under Instruction (TEMDUINS) accounting
data is not provided in the transfer directive. In
this case, immediately contact the order issuing
authority. The order issuing authority will
provide this information via an order modification
(ORDMOD) shortly after the request for the
TEMDUINS
accounting
data
is
received.
Similarly, when PCS accounting data is not
initially provided in the transfer directive, and
the order issuing authority is requested to
provide such data, the order issuing authority
issues it by ORDMOD.
Reporting and Detaching Endorsemats
When traveling under PCS orders,
TEMDU (regardless of length) at
intermediate stations is accounted for by the
Reporting (Arrival) Endorsement to Orders,
NAVCOMPT Form 3068, and the Detaching
